Herzlich Willkommen in meiner Praxis

I love massaging and have been massaging friends and family since 1979 (when I was 18), and opened my massage clinic in 2005.

From September until November 2003 I attended a Massage & Aromatherapy course (10 weeks, 3 hours per week) (at the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic in Tauranga).  In 2005 I obtained the National Certificate in Massage (from the New Zealand College of Massage in Auckland).  And in 2006 I obtained the Certificate in Allied Therapies (including Reflexology etc) (also from the New Zealand College of Massage).  Furthermore, I attended a Lymphatic Drainage course (4 days) held in Tauranga by Jill Griffiths, Weller Institute, Melbourne, Australia, amongst other courses / workshops.  I also hold a Diploma in Marketing.

I have been a member of Massage New Zealand (www.massagenewzealand.co.nz) since 2004.

Ich biete folgendes an:

  • Massage
    • Relaxation massage (also called “Swedish massage”)
    • Deep tissue massage
    • Pregnancy massage
    • Sports massage
  • Reflexology (feet and / or hands and / or ears)
  • Lymphatic drainage (lymphatic drainage is a great “side effect” of any Massage or Reflexology treatment, and can also be a treatment by itself)
  • a mix of Massage and Reflexology

Please see the respective website pages (= "tabs”) for more information on Massage therapy, Reflexology and Lymphatic Drainage.

Depending on what my clients prefer, I use oils / waxes with or without aromatherapy oils.

Benefits of regular Treatments

  • Helps break the chronic pain spasm cycle while reducing associated muscle tightness
  • Stimulates / increases circulation of blood and lymph
  • Releases endorphins (= body’s natural painkillers) that uplift and help to feel good / better
  • Helps to eliminate wastes from body
    • thus drink a glass of water AFTER a massage etc treatment, and a lot of water during the day
    • drinking a lot of water can also help to prevent e.g. bladder and kidney infections, and dementia (which can also caused by dehydration of brain)
  • Assists with absorption of nutrients into body
  • Helps with prevention of soft tissue injury and rehabilitation of injured soft tissue (e.g. OOS [= Occupational Overuse Syndrome] or RSI [= Repeated Strain Injury])
  • Helps to reduce post-operative recovery period and speeds up elimination of anaesthetics

BEFORE receiving a massage / reflexology / lymphatic drainage you have to inform massage therapists etc about

  • Your general health
  • Current conditions (e.g. hepatitis, blood pressure problems etc)
  • Current medical treatment / medication (including homoeopathy)
  • Past injuries / operations / conditions

I am looking forward to your phone call.

Uschi
